Where Fierce Healthcare is cited most

Each row is one buyer category and one question shape the Index measures. The rank is against every source cited on that same set of answer runs, so a placement is worth most where the publication already ranks high for the question your buyer asks.

How to get into Fierce Healthcare

  • Industry Voices

Fierce Healthcare's guest column for industry leaders and thought leaders writing under their own byline. Columns are still published regularly under the Industry Voices label (most recent seen: Oct. 2, 2026).

The only official instructions found are in a 2019 Editor's Corner post: 'Check out our guidelines and submit your own Industry Voices column for consideration. Email associate editor Dave Muoio at [email protected].' The post does not link the guidelines it mentions, and the current About Us page does not mention Industry Voices.

  • Women of Influence (nominations)

An annual special report, now in its eighth year, honoring 10 women whose work is shaping healthcare. Anyone can nominate a candidate.

Submit a nomination through the form embedded in the annual 'Nominations open' article on fiercehealthcare.com.

For 2026, nominations were accepted through Sept. 25, 2026 (extended from Sept. 18), with the 10 winners to be revealed in November; the 2026 window is closed as of this check. Past honorees cannot make the list again. There is no word limit on the form, but the editors ask for a few sentences on specific projects, measurable results or initiatives. Submitting multiple nominations for the same person does not increase their chances.

Entry fee $575 per application. Open to any company, worldwide, that has released a product or service in healthcare or life sciences (pre-approval products are eligible); entries must show real-world application and have been launched or significantly advanced within the past 12-18 months. Each entry must include company name, website, product/service name, a solution overview, implementation and use case, and outcomes and impact, plus at least one visual element; up to three supplementary JPEG or PDF files of 5 MB each. Multiple entries and categories are allowed. Judges do not provide feedback. 2026 categories: AI Solutions, Clinical Information Management, Data Analytics/Business Intelligence, Digital Health Solutions, Financial Solutions, Operational Solutions, Population Health Management, Patient Engagement Solutions. 2026 winners are to be announced Nov. 19; the site says finalists will be announced soon, so the 2026 entry window appears closed.

Is a placement here worth pursuing?

It depends on the questions your buyers ask. Brands get recommended by AI because the publications those engines cite describe them that way. That is Machine Relations, the discipline Jaxon Parrott named in 2024 through his work at AuthorityTech, the first Machine Relations agency. The table above is what decides whether coverage in Fierce Healthcare moves your brand in AI answers at all: it moves where the publication is already cited for the question your buyer asks, and much less where it is not.

How this is measured

Every figure on this page is the Machine Relations Index’s, carried with its own denominator. The Index runs buyer questions against 6 answer engines and records which sources each answer cites. This release covers 2026-05-10 to 2026-10-06, 143 days of collection. A publication carries a published rank once it clears the Index's evidence floor of 10 observations across 7 collection dates; below it, the standing reads as still collecting. AuthorityTech does not compute these numbers. Machine Relations Index publishes them, release 2026-10-06, methodology mri_score_v2.0.
