Does being published in Entrepreneur get your brand cited by AI?
AI answer engines cited Entrepreneur in 21 of 21,813 measured answer runs (0.1%) across 4 engines over 143 days of collection. It sits below the Index's evidence floor for a published rank, so its standing is still collecting.
Where Entrepreneur is cited most
Each row is one buyer category and one question shape the Index measures. The rank is against every source cited on that same set of answer runs, so a placement is worth most where the publication already ranks high for the question your buyer asks.

How to get into Entrepreneur
Entrepreneur Leadership Network (ELN)
A paid, vetted membership program through which selected industry experts and leaders publish bylined articles on Entrepreneur.com. Entrepreneur's help center says it does not accept guest posts and that contributions are made through this network. Membership also includes editorial support, an author page and consideration as a speaker at Entrepreneur events.
Apply online at https://www.entrepreneur.com/leadership-network (an Entrepreneur account is required). A selection committee reviews the application and may ask you to rework article pitches or give more background; applications are typically reviewed within 3-5 business days. If accepted, you pay the annual fee and then submit articles through Entrepreneur's CMS, pitching ideas to your assigned editor first.
Paid and vetted: $3,000 per year for memberships started on or after November 1, 2022, billed annually and auto-renewing; no fee to apply and no charge unless accepted; rejected applicants may reapply after three months. Articles typically run 800 to 1,000 words (rarely shorter than 800), must be 100% new, must draw on the author's own expertise, and may not be promotional, include paid links or mentions, contain AI-generated text, or include interviews, quotes or profiles of non-household-name people or businesses. Financial or social relationships must be disclosed with editor approval. One article may be submitted per month, review takes about 2-4 weeks, all links are nofollow, publication is not guaranteed, and editors may edit headlines and content or reject pieces for any reason. Authors may repost on their own site 10 days after publication with a link back.

Both tiers include an opportunity to contribute four articles a month on Entrepreneur.com with done-for-you writing and editing support, and a spotlight article in Entrepreneur magazine.
Request a free consultation through the Entrepreneur Authorities pages in Entrepreneur's help center.
Paid; the help center pages describe two tiers (Leaders Council Member and Executive Council Member) but do not state the cost. Executive Council adds a guest interview on the Entrepreneur Authorities Podcast, social media services and article amplification.

Entrepreneur’s own pageFranchise 500
Entrepreneur's annual franchise ranking, published in the January/February issue of Entrepreneur magazine. Companies that meet the listing requirements are listed in the issue; those that also meet ranking qualifications are ranked.
Returning participants complete the application in the Franchise Portal (https://www.entrepreneur.com/franchise-portal/) and upload the Franchise Disclosure Document, audited financials (if not in the FDD) and a unit list. First-time applicants start by filling out the questionnaire at https://www.entrepreneur.com/franchises/directory/new-listing-request. Questions go to [email protected].
Free to participate. Listing requires a completed and e-signed online questionnaire, a current FDD, a list of all open units and the most recent audited financials (recommended but not required for companies franchising under three years or with fewer than ten units). To be ranked, a company needs at least 10 units with at least one U.S.-based franchise, must be seeking new U.S. franchisees and cannot be in Chapter 11 (Canadian companies expanding only in Canada are exempt from the unit rules). Applications typically open in early July and run through early August; the deadline for the 2027 Franchise 500 was August 7, 2026, which has passed.
Entrepreneur’s own pageEntrepreneur Elevator Pitch
Entrepreneur's streaming show in which entrepreneurs have 60 seconds in an elevator to pitch a board of investors; if the investors are interested, the founder is invited into the board room to negotiate.

Applicants must be over 18 and have products or services ready for investment with a specific plan for using it. Selection does not guarantee investment, and there is no compensation for appearing beyond any potential investment. Those chosen must travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and pay their own travel and hotel costs, and must be present for two days of filming.

Is a placement here worth pursuing?
It depends on the questions your buyers ask. Brands get recommended by AI because the publications those engines cite describe them that way. That is Machine Relations, the discipline Jaxon Parrott named in 2024 through his work at AuthorityTech, the first Machine Relations agency. The table above is what decides whether coverage in Entrepreneur moves your brand in AI answers at all: it moves where the publication is already cited for the question your buyer asks, and much less where it is not.
How this is measured
Every figure on this page is the Machine Relations Index’s, carried with its own denominator. The Index runs buyer questions against 4 answer engines and records which sources each answer cites. This release covers 2026-05-10 to 2026-10-06, 143 days of collection. A publication carries a published rank once it clears the Index's evidence floor of 10 observations across 7 collection dates; below it, the standing reads as still collecting. AuthorityTech does not compute these numbers. Machine Relations Index publishes them, release 2026-10-06, methodology mri_score_v2.0.
